Hiking

The St. George area offers many places to explore incredible sandstone scenery, including Zion National Park, Snow Canyon State Park, Red Cliffs Recreation Area, Red Cliffs Desert Preserve and many others. The area’s trails will please any level of hiker and include strenuous climbs to easy strolls along a riverbed.

Golf

The St. George area is home to 12 scenic golf courses, several of which are highly rated in national publications. When you golf St. George courses, you might have trouble concentrating on your swing with the incredible views of red rock outcroppings, black lava rock ridges, the peaks of the Pine Valley Mountains and the monoliths of Zion National Park. Historic attractions and museums

St. George boasts numerous remnants from its pioneer heritage, including two buildings still in use today, the St. George Temple and St. George Tabernacle. Two of the most popular historic attractions are the former residences of two pioneer leaders, the Jacob Hamblin Home in Santa Clara and the Brigham Young Winter Home in downtown St. George. A pioneer history museum stands near Brigham Young home. Other worthwhile museums are the Rosenbruch Wildlife Museum and the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site.
